  • Do Ask the Child to Pray Personally
You can lead the child in prayer but the child must pray for his own salvation.

Don'ts

  • Don’t Make Assumptions
Don’t assume that the child is unsaved. Don’t assume that every child is the same. Get to know the child.

  • Don't Be Disrespectful
Keep your phone on silent. Show genuine love and respect in the way you speak with the child.
evangelizing-to-children-i
  • Don’t Confuse the Child
Avoid using spiritual jargon. Use words that the child can understand.

  • Don’t Only Ask Yes/No Questions
Ask a variety of yes/no and open-ended questions to check on the child’s understanding.
evangelizing-to-children-k
  • Don’t Frighten the Child into Accepting the Gospel
Don’t dwell on the topic of hell.
evangelizing-to-children-l
  • Don’t Think That Your Job is Over Once the Child Accepts Christ
Continue to follow-up with the child. If you can’t do this personally, connect the child with a local church.
